Sat in the sun yesterday. Almost got burnt.
Went for a walk w a few of my family members on the Grand Haven pier.
Thinking.

Slept terribly. Slept? Not really. First morning back at this 4am shift. Always a JOY to have my life messed with on a rotating shift. The boss(es) should try this for six years like we have.
Staring at nothing.
Doing my job.
Rambling.

Leetl bugs

Saw a tiny bug on a flower yesterday. He (or she) was small. It's body (not counting legs or antennae) were smaller than the width of my pinky. I'm not positive on centimeters (maybe 2?) but it was less than 1/2 inch.

I set up my flash and put some macro stuff on my camera and got a few photos of it. It was moving SLOW, getting nectar and maybe some water. It was hard to focus on its eyes but I got a few good photos. That's all. It was just fun and interesting... The flower was about 1.5 inches wide. G-night.

Graduating Rain

Also, if this rain will stop when we need it to, that would be great.
It makes nice photos with vibrant colors but it is hard to ride my bike in it. Since my eyeglasses are so small if they get wet, I can't see...

Let's Shall... beginning mileage on my Trek. March 14, 2007

1918.5 miles previously.

Took a spin just under 10 miles today to wake up my legs and seat. Rode to Riverside Park. Things were a bit deep in places with the ice melting. Disc Golf is out of the question for a while and the trail was under water in one place.

3 "C" Breakfast

Had three "C's" for breakfast today.

Wendy's Chili and
Chinese Egg Roll.

Joe's back riding a bike to school again. I'm not, yet. Mine's still hanging in the rafters.

The snow is mostly gone. It might get a bit colder this weekend but it is okay, then I can complain that my furnace isn't working right if it gets cold again. It's been acting up. It's pretty new only a few years old. I think it is smothering and needs fresh air from outside because it sometimes turns back off after it lights and cycles out and has to be reset. Arghh. I get a cold nose in the morning sometimes. I'm TRYING to talk someone into doing it like it should be by the manufacturer's suggestion and getting a fresh air duct next to it so it can draw fresh air to burn. Grumble, grumble...

Ahem...

Well. Back to work. For a while yet.

This snow is really getting to me.

At least I have some cheap homemade chili to tide me over.

1 15 oz can red beans
1 28 oz can diced tmatoes
1 tablespoon cheap (I mean cheap chili powder from dollar general, etc.)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 hot beef jerkey sausage stick (from our meat market called Kingma's) cut into small pieces

Cook in a crock pot (1.5 qt pot) for a number of hours.
I could have used my stick blender to hit this few times to quicken the cooking process but it's at home and I'm at work.

Spring is almost here. Right? the Detroit Tigers are playing in Florida now so it must almost be here...

Time, keeps on ticking.

I remember now, it is red.

I can't ride it right now. The tires just spin. It WAS almost nice enough for me to ride.

Weather was a bit foggy last week. Zipped out to Grand Haven State Park last Friday,

Joe kept riding until last week with upwards of 50 degrees outdoors. Now, I think we are gonna be in this white poop for a while. It will give him time to fix his flat tire AGAIN. That bike of his gets more flats than a Model T (like I'm gonna remember those?)

We thankfully didn't get ice storms or power failures here in Grand Rapids -uhh yet? To all you folks out here who are recovering, patience. I can't do anything for you, except say I'm sorry.

As a side note, , hey GW, stop sending our people to Iraq as sacrifices for your war. I think you should be impeached along with your second in command, I think he's worse than you. You disappointed me long ago. I'm sorry I voted for you. Twice. I feel like such a fool. I know you want to start something in Iran too. Maybe do a little something nasty on our soil and blame them for it? Or do something over there and blame them and say, "We're gonna get you now..." Just so you and your war machine gets more money. You are going to lose. Ooh, will I get shut down because I said that? Remember, I SAID that. We are in America, the USA, NOT the North American Union. I know you want to dump the constitution so we can't say things but too bad. We're gonna til the end.

Took a family pic a few weeks ago. Everyone's growing.

Picked out a Douglas Fir tree way up north near Howard City.
Quentin is keeping the throngs away from our chosen evergreen.

I forgot what it was like

Then I forgot to enter this information.

I rode my bike again a week ago.

First time in weeks.

Weather was nice but cool. I forgot how much I enjoyed riding.

Do you realize how much you can think when riding?

I got a lot of thinking done. I wasn't so involved in thinking that I didn't watch where I Was going.

I only went about ten miles but the ease and peace of doing it was good for me.

Now, my son Joe on the other hand, rides every day he works and goes to school. We patch up his tire once a week or so and pick him up if he gets a flat at school. I already told him, when he gets a car, to increase his physical activity or he's gonna get fat. Father's advice. Experience.

Hey, back to work. Tomorrow anyways. Gonna re-focus on the Lord this morning and tonight.

Speaking of, I just refreshed my laptop and backed up my data and reinstalled XP factory new and got QuickVerse freshly re-installed. Gives me a reason to use my laptop. Fast searches of multiple translations. "Today's sermon is on 1 Cor 12:4-11, Titled "The Nature of Spiritual Gifts," by Pastor Doug Crawford..... I can look it up and do a bit of pre study and get back into my devotionals.

Gotta get reading before the kids wake. It is QUIET right now.
